Colossians part 20

Anyone who leads a small group, is in a small group, leads a home church, is part of a home church, or just wants to hear a good sermon should listen to Matt Chandler's Colossians part 20 sermon from Sunday, September 6. Great take on biblical community and great advice for anyone seeking it. I'm a big fan of anything Chandler does, but this one is really good. Enjoy.

Iron Man 2

Watched the Iron Man 2 trailer this morning - very exciting. The first was absolutely brilliant, and with the addition of Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and Sam Rockwell, the second looks to be just as good. I'm still trying to figure out why they would replace Terrence Howard with Don Cheadle. I mean, don't get me wrong, he's hilarious as basher in the Ocean's trilogy, but I would have liked to see Terrence Howard flying next to Downey, Jr. in the silver suit. Oh well, I'm still looking forward to May 7.

Looks like the day off has given me way too much time on my hands.

V-Day

Had a great Valentine's Day with my wife today. Started with a great experience at Lifechurch.tv in Fort Worth. Craig Groeschel is doing a series called "Once Upon a Marriage" that everyone should hear. Had a burger and a red stripe at Jake's downtown. Pretty good burgers. We hit Barnes and Noble, then saw Valentine's Day at the Palace. It was ok as far as chick flicks go. Some Starbucks and the apple store, then home for the evening.

Overall a nice, long weekend with my wife. Two days of school this week, then I'm off Wednesday through Friday. Planning on doing a lot of playing and singing; maybe even some writing - who knows.
